Golden Milk UPGRADED - A Powerful New Twist On An Ancient Healing Elixir
A 5000 year old healing system called Ayurveda delivered to us a healing elixir worth its weight in gold and we're about to show you how to make it even more powerful.
It's called Golden Milk because of its golden color that comes from an a very powerful healing spice.
Can you guess what that spice is? (hint: It's called "the spice of life")
Side Note: If you're lactose intolerant, keep reading because we're not going to use that kind of milk! If you love milk keep reading too!
Before we get into the recipe, let's first go into the ingredients so you understand what awesomeness you're about to get into. ;-)
Ok, let's go...
INGREDIENT 1: Liposomal Turmeric
The golden spice is turmeric, it's an absolute powerhouse in Ayurveda and modern science has validated all it has to offer.
I'm talking about THOUSANDS of scientific studies!
Studies have shown it to be just as effective as the leading pharmaceuticals used to treat many different conditions, including high cholesterol, eye diseases, depression, stroke and heart attack prevention, pain and other inflammatory afflictions, diabetes, and cancer.
Curcumin alone, a bioactive ingredient in turmeric, has been found to have over 150 potentially therapeutic activities.
It is definitely one of the most potent anti-inflammatories nature has to offer, that also has powerful antimicrobial as well as anti-cancer properties that have been deeply studied.
Did you know that inflammation is at the root of many chronic diseases?
Now you're starting to see the crucial importance of this ingredient in our Upgraded Golden Milk.
Before you run out the door to grab some powdered turmeric there's something you need to know...
The Importance Of The Right Turmeric
We're not going to use just any turmeric in our elixir!
First, we want the benefit of the all compounds contained within the turmeric, in other words we want a full spectrum turmeric. We want all the curcuminoids in play, not some isolate.
Second, powdered turmeric by itself (even full spectrum and high quality) is not very absorbable by the body and it's hard to know where and how it's been processed. Stay away from powders.
Thanks to advances in technology we can now get just that...
We found a brand called Synchro that we recommend, because like us, they use liposomal technology to encapsulate a full spectrum turmeric extract.
Not until recently, something like this product was even possible and it's the reason our liposomal CBD is so popular and effective.
Not only does Synchro Gold have liposomal CO2 extracted turmeric but they add other essential ingredients to boost bioavailability like piperine, and bit of ginger for taste.
INGREDIENT 2: Liposomal CBD
Much like turmeric, CBD is a powerhouse.
I won't spend much time on the CBD because this site contains all you need to learn about it.
I will, however, give you a synopsis:
What it will do is fuel a master regulatory system in the body called the Endocannabinoid System.
Science is starting to validate the many benefits people have been enjoying for thousands of years.
Literally 1000’s Of Clinical Studies Show Amazing Benefits…
- 221 Studies: Cannabidiol displays anti-seizure properties
- 533 Studies: Regulation of nausea and vomiting by cannabinoids
- 1784 Studies: CBD suppresses pain
- 1168 Studies: CBD improves brain function
- 295 Studies: CBD improves sleep
- 2042 Studies: CBD Fights Cancer and Tumors
- 1368 Studies: Cannabidiol protects from inflamation
- 413 Sudies: Anxiety relief with CBD
- 802 Studies: CBD helps fight neurodegenerative disease
Are we loving what CBD can do for us?
INGREDIENT 3: Coconut Milk
We love coconut milk for all its amazing benefits, its texture and taste.
Coconut milk contains beneficial fat called lauric acid, a medium-chain fatty acid that’s easily absorbed and used by the body for energy.
The saturated fats in coconut milk can also help you lower cholesterol levels, improve blood pressure, and prevent heart attacks or a stroke.
Other benefits include:
- Improves heart health
- Helps build muscle and lose fat
- Improves digestion
- Prevents joint Inflammation & arthritis
You can find coconut milk at any health food store, but make sure it's not full of sugar. As an alternative, use a nut milk or unpasteurized, preferably raw full fat milk. We usually use this brand of unsweetened coconut milk.
INGREDIENT 4: Coconut Oil
Similar to the coconut milk, we add this healthy fat for energy, improved brain function, better digestion, anti-inflammatory properties and much more goodness. Coconut oil is a scientifically proven health powerhouse.
You can find virgin coconut oil at any health food store or buy our favorite brand here.
INGREDIENT 5: Ginger
As mentioned Synchro Gold has some ginger in it but we want to add some more. Ginger is another incredibly healthy spice that we'll add to this elixir for good measure.
What are the main benefits of adding ginger?
Glad you asked!
- Anti-inflammatory properties
- Lowers blood sugar
- Helps digestion
- Boosts immune function
- Pain relieving Properties
Those are just the top benefits...
You can use fresh ginger or powdered.
If using fresh, you'll want to blend it well and strain out the pulp.
I think you know where to find fresh ginger ;-)
