1. Homemade Gift Ideas Your Friends Will Remember

Nothing says “I care” like a homemade gift—something that takes time, love, and energy to create. Receiving a jar of freshly made cranberry-orange preserves or a batch of warm chocolate chip cookies is so thoughtful, but what other creative, DIY gifts can you give your friends and family members?

Well, for starters, why not try incorporating CBD oil into your homemade gifts? There are loads of different DIY projects that include cannabidiol. If you’ve got friends or family who use CBD regularly, these gifts will surely be a hit. (Click to Tweet)

Cannabidiol offers a host of different benefits, so these gifts won't just be pleasant to use. They’ll offer something valuable to the recipient as well, keeping them healthy and happy through the holiday season!

2. Why Give a Homemade CBD-Infused Gift Instead?

Many people would agree that it’s much more meaningful to spend time with loved ones and would prefer to receive a homemade gift as opposed to something store-bought. This tends to make people feel special during the holidays, knowing that you chose to spend time creating or cooking something instead of going out and buying something.

DIY gifts are becoming more popular, especially since so many of us have been spending more time at home by ourselves and not necessarily out shopping with the crowds for the holidays. Not only do they make the recipient feel appreciated, but they are also pretty fun to make, too. Handcrafted gifts that also offer the benefits of cannabidiol? Now that’s a winner.

Let’s get right into it:

For these DIY projects, we recommend always using a regular high-quality CBD oil; you can also use liposomal CBD in certain recipes when it makes sense to do so. Liposomes are protective fat bubbles that surround the CBD molecules, which helps CBD reach the bloodstream faster and more efficiently since liposomes protect the cannabidiol. It essentially prevents the CBD from being broken down or damaged in the stomach.

Our CBD can easily be incorporated into hand-crafted gifts!

You can DIY so many different CBD gifts, from creamy body balms to exfoliating sugar scrubs and everything in between. Take a look at some of our favorite DIY holiday CBD gifts to try out this year!

3. CBD-Infused Bath Bombs

Help your loved ones truly relax this year with an extra-special treat crafted especially for alone time. If you’ve ever taken a look at CBD bath bombs, you know that they can get a bit pricey, especially ones that use high-quality cannabidiol

Why buy a CBD bath bomb when you can make them? Baths are great, CBD is great, and a CBD bath combines the warmth and comfort of slipping down into a hot bath with the relief that cannabidiol has to offer: relaxed muscles, reduced congestion, reduced stress, and improved blood flow! (Click to Tweet)

This is just one of many hand-crafted gift basket ideas.

3.1 What You’ll Need:

This recipe is for one large bath bomb or a couple of smaller-sized ones.

  • ⅛ cup cornstarch
  • ⅛ cup Epsom salts
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • 1 tbsp. SOL*CBD oil
  • 1 tsp. essential oil
  • 1 tsp. water

If you feel like treating yourself too, you can double the recipe for a larger batch. Here are some festive essential oil aroma combinations that will surely put you in the holiday spirit:

  • Peppermint/citrus

Essential oils are a great way to add delightful aromas to your DIY CBD gifts.

These homemade bath bombs are simple and only take about 10 minutes to make. Follow the steps below:

  1. Whisk together baking soda, cornstarch, citric acid, and Epsom salts in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine CBD oil, essential oil(s), and water.
  3. Blend the wet ingredients slowly into the dry. You don’t want the mixture to dry out too much before you get it in the mold, so try to move quickly with this step.
  4. Fill the molds (bath bomb molds are available to purchase online, or you can use cupcake tins or ice cube trays).
  5. Let the molds sit overnight to dry out. A few days would be ideal to make sure they are completely set up before removal.
  6. Package them nicely, stick a tag on them, and take them to your friends and family members!

4. CBD-Infused Beard Balm

CBD-infused beard balms are the perfect gift for the men in your life.

Men need some TLC, too! That’s why DIY cannabidiol beard balms are the perfect gift for that special bearded guy in your life. (Click to Tweet)

Beard balms with that extra-special ingredient, CBD, can help with a variety of different issues, including:

  • Relieving itchiness
  • Managing dandruff
  • Protecting against natural elements that damage your hair fibers
  • Keeping the beard tame and looking sharp
  • Keeping the skin beneath the beard nice and healthy

You’ll need just a handful of ingredients for a fantastic homemade gift for your husband, brother, father, or friends!

4.1 What You’ll Need:

Four basic elements are required to create a great beard balm. They include:

  • Beeswax
  • A type of carrier oil
  • A type of essential oil
  • A type of butter

The beeswax provides hold for styling and helps retain moisture, ultimately keeping the beard protected and healthy. The butter, which is often shea or cocoa, provides moisture and substance as well as improving the spreadability of the balm, making it much easier to use and incorporate into the entire beard. Carrier oils work to keep the beard soft and looking lush. Essential oils are primarily for smell; however, some also offer various benefits.

Making homemade beard balm means you know exactly what’s inside it; avoid unnecessary ingredients, and DIY it!

4.2 You’ll Also Need:

  • 2 tbsp. beeswax (preferably pellets; if not, you’ll need a grater)
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp. shea butter
  • 1 tbsp. argan oil
  • 10–15 drops SOL*CBD oil
  • 10–15 drops essential oil
  • Metal tin

Here are some essential oils you may want to consider adding to your balm:

  • Pine
  • Eucalyptus
  • Orange
  • Cedar
  • Sandalwood
  • Peppermint
  • Vanilla
  • Bergamot
  • Lemon
  • Tea Tree

Two ingredients to make your homemade beard balm extra special and beneficial: tea tree oil & SOL*CBD oil

This is where things get more interesting:

Tea tree is truly a magical ingredient when it comes to hair health, beards included. Due to dirt and sweat, your pores may get clogged—and tea tree oil can gently unclog them, relieving irritation and redness. It also may be able to control inflammation found in the pores and get rid of ingrown hairs. CBD is excellent for the skin as well!

A beard balm is also a perfect gift for a birthday or Father’s Day! Follow the steps below if you want to give it a shot:

  1. Gather 2 tbsp. beeswax; if you have a solid block, you’ll need to grate it.
  2. Use a double boiler. Place beeswax into the melting container, add coconut oil and shea butter. You can then place the container of beeswax over or directly submerged into the water on low heat. Stir constantly as it melts.
  3. Once thoroughly melted, remove it from the heat source with care. Move quickly and add your argan and essential oils. Stir them until combined.
  4. Let the mixture cool slightly but do not allow it to solidify. Add your CBD oil and mix thoroughly.
  5. As soon as you are done mixing in your CBD oil, pour the mixture into your tin of choice. Metal tins and mason jars work fine. Let the mixture cool completely before replacing the lid.

Making DIY CBD-infused beard balm is simple and takes only a few steps to complete.

5. Avocado, Peppermint, and Olive Oil CBD Hair Mask

Keep your hair healthy, moisturized, and shiny even in damaging, frosty weather. This avocado, peppermint, and CBD hair mask is not only festive, but it’s incredibly beneficial for your luscious locks. (Click to Tweet)

Here’s what this mask does:

  • Avocado is a great source of biotin! This may help with hair growth.
  • Avocado also contains vitamins B & E, which protect and strengthen your hair at a cellular level.
  • Peppermint oil has highly stimulating properties that penetrate deep into your scalp and stimulate your follicles.
  • Peppermint oil may also increase blood circulation in the scalp, which could result in hair growth.
  • CBD influences sebum and oil levels in the scalp.
  • CBD oil may be able to manage issues such as dandruff or dry scalp.

Making a DIY CBD-infused hair mask can help moisturize your scalp and hair and keep them healthy.

5.1 What You’ll Need:

  • ½ avocado
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 5 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 1 full dropper of SOL*CBD oil

If you’re looking for a hair mask that also doubles as a relaxant, try replacing peppermint with lavender! Lavender is not only relaxing and calming, but it also has antimicrobial properties that may be able to prevent hair and scalp issues such as itchiness, dandruff, and infections. This is one of the best homemade gift ideas for someone serious about hair care!

Simply follow the steps below if you want to make a DIY hair mask:

  1. Combine the avocado, olive oil, honey, essential oil, and your dropper of CBD oil in a bowl.
  2. This combination can be stored or packaged in an airtight container for personal use or to give as a gift. Always make this mask the day before or the same day you plan on giving it as a gift.
  3. The mixture can then simply be applied to wet hair, and it’s best to place a shower cap over the hair.
  4. To activate the ingredients and help open up the hair’s outer layer to absorb them, use the blow dryer on the shower cap for around 10 minutes.
  5. Let the mask sit for an additional 20–30 minutes and then rinse.
  6. Enjoy your ridiculously soft hair!

6. CBD-Infused Chocolate & Peppermint Bark

CBD-infused peppermint bark is a tasty and festive way to show that you care!

Chocolate peppermint bark is something many of us love to snack on around the holidays. The minty freshness with smooth, rich chocolate is a match made in heaven! If you’ve got chocolate lovers on your gift list this year, you simply have to try out this recipe.

If peppermint isn’t your favorite, we’ve also got a bunch of other flavor add-ons for you to try!

6.1 What You’ll Need:

  • Chocolate (milk, dark, white—even a combination would work!)
  • SOL*CBD oil (you can use our strong hibiscus liposomal formula for this recipe. When paired with dark chocolate, it creates a sophisticated, unique, and rich flavor combination. For super festive flavors, you can use our cinnamint-flavored CBD oil.)

Liposomal CBD may be a good choice for a recipe like this, since the dish does not have to be baked. It can be left in the fridge or at room temperature to harden, meaning you don’t have to worry about the heat being too much for the liposomal cannabidiol to stand up to.

Liposomal CBD is a good choice for a recipe in which the dish does not have to be baked.

Using a liposomal formula will help the CBD molecules bypass the digestive system, which is where bioactive components of the cannabidiol are broken down or rejected. Ultimately, this gives you a stronger, more effective dose of CBD.

6.2 Optional Ingredients:

  • Crushed candy canes
  • Crushed Oreo cookies
  • Pistachios, walnuts, or almonds
  • Dried cranberries
  • Peanut butter
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Pretzels (crushed)
  • Mini M&Ms

Why not add some health benefits to your holiday treats this year with CBD?

You can add practically anything you like to this chocolate CBD bark, which makes it even more of a thoughtful, personal gift. What’s better than gifting your legume-loving friend some PB, peanut, & dark chocolate CBD bark for the holidays? (Click to Tweet)

Follow the steps below to make this tasty, versatile, and simple holiday treat:

  1. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt your chocolate(s) of choice, either in the microwave or in a double boiler.
  3. Wait for the chocolate to be mostly melted, then stir to fully dissolve any remaining pieces of chocolate.
  4. Move quickly and add your CBD oil; be sure to mix this very thoroughly, as you’ll want it to be completely incorporated.
  5. Spread melted chocolate on a baking sheet, about ¼” thick.
  6. Sprinkle your toppings into the chocolate.
  7. Put in refrigerator overnight to harden.
  8. Once it is completely hardened, break up the bark into smaller pieces with your hands.
  9. Package it up nicely and take it over to your neighbors!

If you’re wanting to add peanut butter to your bark, simply place dollops of the PB onto your melted chocolate and use a butter knife to swirl it carefully throughout the whole sheet. Be sure to do this while the chocolate is still relatively warm. Then add your other ingredients on top of that.

Not only does this taste fantastic, but it may also help you feel cool, calm, and collected after the stress and rush of the holidays. This is one of our favorite DIY gift ideas!
